I really enjoy this movie. It is funny in a subtle way, has a lot of polish, twists around a little bit, plus it is just plain cool. I’ve never really considered it to be violent, like Braveheart, but I noticed for the first time that it is rather violent- probably because the person I was watching it with spent most of the movie with her eyes turned away, or waiting to turn her eyes away. The violence isn’t like the aforementioned bloodfest, nor is it anything like a Saw movie, but it is fairly direct and it hits hard. However, the violence isn’t really what worries me, but the fact that I hadn’t really noticed it until now is vaguely disconcerting. Have I become desensitized?
